Take a Cheese Stay-cation with
the American Cheese Month Passport
The American Cheese Society has decreed October to be “American Cheese Month” and Beecher's in Seattle and New York is commemorating the month with the “Passport Program.”
Aimed at raising money for the American Cheese Education Foundation (ACEF), as well as generating awareness and enthusiasm for the world of American artisan cheese, the Program invites customers to purchase a Passport for $10, with 100% of the proceeds going to ACEF. The Passport allows customers to receive a 40% discount on the “Cheese of the Day,” with a new American cheese being featured every day of the month.
“Our hope is that cheese enthusiasts will realize they don’t need to travel the world to find great cheese – it’s right here in the United States,” said Kurt Beecher Dammeier, founder and owner of Beecher’s Handmade Cheese. “Plus, the American Cheese Society started a great cheese education non-profit with ACEF, and we believe American Cheese Month is the perfect opportunity to educate the public about the foundation while generating some money for it.”
